Oh oh...
by Berserk
Hello my fellow green friends. I have recently noticed that around 9am when I leave for work, nearby at Jalan C on the way down to former Club Century, workers busy taking measurements. Even today I saw about 6 of them making measurements from the road. I think we are seeing the go ahead to destroy the hill while we green fellows fight so hard to keep it. Again to IJM and MPAJ, money reigns!!! Long live Malaysia. Malaysia macam ini pun boleh!! BOLEH!! SEMUA BOLEH!! I am just so pist off! Keep fighting and if they do go ahead we should make public the cons of owning such property. Boycott this project!!

Thank You....

Hi... just want to drop by and say Thank You for those respondents that have response to our thesis questionnaire... The experience been to Taman Melawati Hill is amazing. For me, walking to the peak of the hill is quite tired but at the same time I gain a lot. Gain some life experience from the respondents; enjoy the cooling environment and fresh air. Especially from Uncle nadzjelas (sorry for not asking his name) and Uncle Mohd Borhan Tan... they are the first 2 respondents of mine. Is Uncle nadzjelas that first brings me to the top of the hill; show me the amazed view at the top. And I remember one of my respondent's professions is in the construction field, he teaches me a lot too. And yet I really appreciate the response from all of the respondents. This hill should be preserved and conserved. Seeing everyone enthusiastic in exercising and enjoying in such recreation site, I think there is nothing more important than to keep such a nice place to give a life to the hill to stay beneficial to everyone.

Please don't build on Taman Melawati hill
by Dianne Fenwick
Please ask your government to give a moments thought on the terrible consequences of building on this beautiful natural landscape. Apart from the local people would lose a beautiful space, all the wildlife would also be home less. All for what to make a few more fast bucks and another concert jungle replace's nature. Then after the buildings are up, heavy Rain comes, landslides then the human poplulations are killed. I think theres been a enough forest destroyed in Sabah, lets leave the Green lung to breath and help the polutions that is creeping into the city centre and now the outskirt towns. Save Taman Melawati HIll PLEASE.

Back to the Future
by Tree-hugger (and proud of it!)
Honestly "Annoying mouse", if we all sat back and convinced ourselves that fighting for this one hill was pointless and there was nothing we could do, we'd end up with denuded hills, muddy rivers, landslides and sure, plenty of law suits... but what's the use of that when your grandchildren grow up and there are no hills in sight except for the ridge. They'll see pictures of hills on the internet with birds chirping, raptors soaring, monkeys swinging, and squirrels scampering in the cool canopy of trees. And they'll wonder why their old geezer of a granddad didn't do anything to keep the world as green as the beautiful images they see on the Net. As mentioned on the website, we may not be able to save the whole planet but we could start with a tree, a park, a hill.. in our own neighbourhood.

Inhumane
by Keng
We read of monkeys causing havoc in cities, mosquitoes and floods. What are the causes? Corrupted government officers and developers who bribes. Bagi sikit sikit la kan?? KanNiNa* We are causing wild animals to forage for livelihood in towns and cities. I see snakes, and BIG monitor lizards being run over by cars! Sad, cos they belong to the forest and such death is a reflection of the disgrace of too much development in Malaysia. The country thinks development is BUILD BUILD BUILD BUILD HAHA BUILD!! I think developers and govt officers like president MPAJ should develop their characters and moral principles as a base for any other things. How the heck can such people lead man? Who can tell me? BROOM for you all MPAJ! Face 3 hill can be developed? So is your brain cells idiot! My nature loving friends, we do things that are absolute right. They bad demons, bad humans, does thing absolute wrong but in disguise of right with all money over their faces. We know we have to keep the hill, they also know, but they don't give a F**K about it. If we protest it becomes illegal gathering. Water canon comes! But they cheat us, ok they get their money and they happy. No water canon! MPAJ happy, bad guys and demon is right. They give us appeal, they give us complain, then they YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH...then still you will see the hill might be gone. Complain department is just to buy time.Where they can practice their BULLSH*T to the fullest. RIght anot my nature loving friends?? You see this almost everywhere. Even when natives land is being taken for development, those people are neglected and cast aside. Hey, boleh eh?? Boleh my a**> If Malaysia is not going to improve it's stand on keeping it's greens green we will be left with a country like New York city man. And the greens you might see is e.g Green Resort, Green Living Apartment but no real greens kakakaka.. by then I would have left Malaysia to rot. Come one people, let's fight this world menace to the end. Long live nature and nature lovers and short life to those responsible for nature's demise. Yeah!

WTF!!!
by Keng
WTF is MPAJ doing? Sending out the mail late. This is clearly deception to the residents of Melawati and a disgrace to the President of MPAJ! Malu!! And WTF!! Why can't they MPAJ just leave hills in Melawati alone. Allowing amber hill which does not even look like amber and 20 trees which i think is the number of trees left there, and also at the edge of Jalan P where 11 units bungalow is being built it's a violation of nature and the human race. Klang gate dam is a water catchment area and development(or destruction) should be prohibited at all F***ing cost!! At this moment they are damning Melawati. This clearly is corruption because any sane man with sane mind, even if he is blind could tell the importance! Bravo MPAJ! your idiotic decision to allow development shows a lack of common sense and brain usage. MPAJ uses rhetoric to push things through and deceive people. Here we talk about morality about making the Rakyat happy, but when we are unhappy the don't give a F***!! Development is not about building housing projects or condominiums you primitive MPAJ, it's about living with nature, blending with nature to enjoy quality of life, not quantity. Building concrete on a hill or in a jungle and with marketing gimmick of "life from the top, live in nature, etc etc nature my A**! This is all BullSh**!! Not just hills in Melawati, but all over Malaysia should be preserved and kept untouched. Those developer sure know how to cheat and cause harm to people! Money is god to you, and I pray that land slides in whichever project you undertake. People want to live in nature? Go get a tent and start camping, start a business in eco-tourism or hiking. Malaysia is dooming itself. The world talks about global warming and Malaysia talks about combating global warming, I see the mentality now, cut more trees, build more houses on hill. Woo Hoo!! I will give you dozens of brooms for your achievements man! and I'll sweep developers faces and a** with it. Why is the rich doing this? We live under one roof, the sky, we breath the same air, it's our home, the world. Save it Idiots (MPAJ+developer) change your mindset, not just increase your bank accounts!! Who agree, pls write in, share your views. Lets damn this people before they damn us.

Disgrace
by Sean
As usual the authorities in Malaysia can only appreciate RM sign rather than what they can leave behind for the future generation. Greed control these people (MPAJ) from the day they step into office but then again nothing surprise me anymore about Malaysian. First they have no sense with regards to safety, be it their own or others. Second they no sense on heritage value. They never have culture that dated thousands of years that is why Malaysian take everything for granted. Shame for what we have become. Don't blame other for our own downfall in the future. Take a look at the mirror and the person you see. I do hope that they will cancel this development and leave this hill as it is. Fingers cross!!!

Planning disasters
by Mik
First of all I would like to thank you for highlighting the issues that concern many Taman Melawati residents. As an Expatriate living in your area I am alarmed at the significant increase of projects that are scarring the landscape and am most dismayed that the authorities don't seem to care about Malaysia's natural beauty. When one visits some of the projects underway you can easily understand the residents concerns.Taking 20Trees as an example, the earthworks undertaken appear hap hazard at best and the resulting mess that contaminates nearby waterways and roads doesn't seem to bother the developer or the authority in the slightest.I recall a similiar situation three years ago when a developer didnt care about its workers throwing their personal rubbish and site rubbish into a nearby river,it took a letter threating TV cameras and reporters to the scene before anyone from City Hall acted. The strange thing is it was the local authority who cleaned up the mess and not the developer! Urban development is essential in any country, any state, but good urbam development has the opinions of residents, authorities and the developer listened to in the first stages of planning. Can you imagine the devastation if ever Zoo Negara moves?? KL is a marvellous city but ask yourself this, where is its heritage? What parts of its history still stand?.Do developers seriously think that Malaysians want high density condominiums built everywhere, luxury semi D's that the average person can't afford? I wish you well in your quest to save one of Malaysia's Natural beauty's

Meh. You're all doing it wrong.
by Annonymous.
Pointless as I would call it. There are other places to save and what makes this hill so special eh? You old geezers just don't know what you're doing. Stop hugging the trees and get over it. There's the ridge. No one is going to build over that. Stop whining and putting in wasted effort. I know some people will have a downfall in the development of the houses but just wait. You will have your hour when the time comes. If anything ever happens, the evidence that occured after the development can be collected to support a law suit. But honestly,
